If you are using StoryTrail on behalf of a child under 13, you represent that you are the parent or legal guardian and have authority to agree to these Terms.

StoryTrail is an AI-powered platform that generates personalized adventure stories for children to experience on outdoor trails. Our service includes:
- Story generation based on trail information and child preferences
- Chapter-based narratives with educational content and challenges
- Photo recognition and feedback for nature identification activities
- Portfolio tracking of achievements and collected items
3. Account Registration and Security
Account Requirements
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
- You must provide accurate and complete information
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password
- You are responsible for all activities under your account
Parental Responsibility
Important: Parents and guardians are solely responsible for supervising children during trail adventures. StoryTrail provides story content only and does NOT provide supervision, guidance, or safety oversight during outdoor activities.
4. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree NOT to:
- Use the service for any illegal purpose or to violate any laws
- Share, sell, or transfer your account to others
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
- Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Scrape, copy, or reverse-engineer our service or AI models
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the service
- Circumvent usage limits or payment systems
5. Subscription and Payment
Free Tier
- Free users receive 3 adventure stories per month
- Usage limits reset on the 1st of each month
- Features may be limited compared to Premium
Premium Subscription
- Monthly subscription with unlimited adventures
- Billing occurs on a recurring basis
- You can cancel anytime (takes effect at end of billing period)
- No refunds for partial months
Payment Processing
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges. Prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice.
6. Intellectual Property Rights
Our Content
StoryTrail owns all rights to:
- The platform, website, and software
- Trademarks, logos, and branding
- AI-generated stories created through our service
Your Content
You retain ownership of photos you upload. By uploading photos, you grant us a license to:
- Store and process photos for AI analysis
- Generate comic-style transformations
- Display photos in your private portfolio
We do NOT use your photos for marketing or share them publicly without permission.
AI-Generated Stories
Stories generated by our AI are for personal, non-commercial use only. You may NOT:
- Republish or sell generated stories
- Use stories for commercial purposes
- Claim ownership of the underlying AI models
7. Safety and Liability
Important Safety Notice:
- StoryTrail provides stories and content ONLY
- We do NOT provide trail safety information, route planning, or hazard warnings
- Parents are responsible for assessing trail safety, weather conditions, and child supervision
- Always check official trail conditions before hiking
- Ensure children are supervised at all times during outdoor activities
Disclaimer of Warranties
StoryTrail is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:
- Uninterrupted or error-free service
- Accuracy of AI-generated content
- Fitness for a particular purpose
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, StoryTrail and its affiliates are NOT liable for:
- Injuries, accidents, or incidents during trail activities
- Loss of data or content
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Damages exceeding the amount paid for the service in the past 12 months
8. User Conduct and Content Moderation
We reserve the right to:
- Monitor user-generated content for violations
- Remove content that violates these Terms
- Suspend or terminate accounts for policy violations
- Report illegal activity to authorities
9. Termination
Your Rights
- You may cancel your subscription at any time
- You may delete your account from account settings
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period

We may suspend or terminate your account if:
- You violate these Terms
- Your payment method fails
- We suspect fraudulent activity
- We discontinue the service (with 30 days' notice)
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by:
